The 10 Commandments of Attitude

  1. It is attitude, not aptitude that governs altitude.
  2. The purpose of existence is not to make a living, but to make life.
  3. A negative thought is a down payment on an obligation to fail.
  4. You will seldom experience regret for anything you've done; it's what you don't do that will torment you.
  5. Complaining is the refuge of those who have no self-reliance.
  6. The ultimate cost of something is the amount of life that you will exchange for it.
  7. Anything the mind of man can conceive and believe, can be achieved.
  8. A life spent making mistakes is not only honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
  9. The worst bankruptcy is the person who has lost enthusiasm.
  10. Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.

ATTITUDE IS A CHOICE...

CHOOSE TO DOMINATE...

CHOOSE GREATNESS!!

CAMPO VERDE...THE CHOICE of CHAMPIONS

February 12, 2013

Dear future Coyotes,

I hope you are as excited as I am about the future of Campo Verde Football. We've had an excellent start and established a firm foundation with our underclassmen levels. Our Freshman program is 32-3-2 the last four years and went (8-1) in 2012. Those are some tough shoes to fill, but we have a lot to do between now and your first game in August. A tradition of tough, hard-nosed play has been established and that will continue to be our reputation. Below you will see some important dates and events. This is just the tip of the iceberg and more information will be available as we get closer to Spring Football. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Coach Webber or Coach Ragsdale.

Sincerely,

The C.V.Football Staff

  • All classroom tools and technology are new and top of the line.
  • First field turf facility in the Southeast Valley.
  • A coaching staff that will use EVERY resource and contact to further the playing career of your student-athlete...if he wants to play, we will find him a school.

Williams Field Holds Off Campo Verde in Division III Opener PDF Print E-mail

Gilbert Williams Field quarterback Jeddediah Fagg stood on his own 25-yard line and launched a pass toward single-covered Jordan Johnson.

Johnson wrestled the ball away from a defender and galloped 75 yards to the end zone. It was just enough offense for the team to cap off a frenetic second half, beating visiting Gilbert Campo Verde 20-12 in the opening round of the Division III playoffs Friday night.

The scoring opened on a 65-yard punt return touchdown from Williams Field running back Sean Schweichler, but the team's offense was anemic from that point until the fourth quarter touchdown, adding two field goals in the mean time.

On the other side, Campo Verde quarterback Luke Pineda gave the opposing defense fits all night, passing and rushing for big chunks of yardage.

Pineda scored both of the team's touchdowns, a 15-yard rush in the first quarter and a 25-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Pineda finished the night with 361 yards of total offense, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Pineda's late touchdown was particularly impressive, as he was almost chased down twice, and flung a 25-yard pass after scrambling around to bring the game within one point.

However, Campo Verde went for the risky two point conversion and lead, but was stonewalled and the lead remained 13-12 for the Williams Field.

From there, Fagg tossed the big play to Johnson, and the game was over when Pineda attempted a deep pass with less than a minute remaining that was intercepted in the end zone.

Williams Field will travel to Peoria Liberty in a Division III quarterfinal matchup next Friday night.
